2020年11月、エチオピア政府軍がティグライ州に進軍し、約1月に及ぶ内戦に突入した。紛争地となったティグライ州を支持基盤としたティグライ人民解放戦線（TPLF）は2018年まで政権の中核を担う政党であったが、内戦はTPLFの完全な失権を意味した。本報告では紛争や政治対立の構図、ならびにそれらの背景にあるティグライ民族と中央政府の関係史を再考する。
