Starting JICA Grassroot Project (Republic of Niger)

On September 24, 2021, a project agreement for JICA grassroots technical cooperation project was signed with the Ministry of Environment and Combating Desertification of the Government of Republic of Niger.

The project agreement for the JICA Grassroots Technical Cooperation Project was signed by Minister. Garama Salatou Rabiou Inoussa, Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Combating Desertification, Government of Republic of Niger. The project period is three years starting from September 2021. Although solutions to climate change and environmental problems are not easy to achieve, we will use household waste from Niamey, the capital of Republic of Niger, to promote cleaning the residential area, restoring the degraded land and greening the land, and strive for social change by reducing hunger and poverty, and preventing conflicts between farmers and pastoralists.
