Summary

To commemorate the MOU between University of Florida and Kyoto University, the International Symposium will be held jointly by the Center for African Area Studies, the Graduate School of Agriculture, the Graduate Schools of Asian and African Area Studies, the Kyoto University Africa Office, and the Kyoto University Tropical Forest Research and Education Unit. The theme of the symposium is the wise use — sustainable use while maintaining diversity — of useful plants in tropics of Africa and Asia.
